Staff Appreciation
Once again our PTSA will be hosting a monthly Friday breakfast spread for our Jackson staff. Staff appreciation is an easy way to get involved as a parent at Jackson! If you are interested in helping us with food donations sign-ups will be listed on our volunteer sign-up page each month. Our Jackson staff loves our breakfasts and are always so grateful for everything we provide.
Staff and Classroom Grants
Grants are an important reason why we fundraise. Each year, if funding is available, Jackson staff members are given the opportunity to apply for a grant. All grants are reviewed by the PTSA Board of Directors and either funded, partiality funded or denied depending on request and funds available.
With your generous donations, our PTSA was able to fund the following previous classroom grant requests.
2024-2025 School Year Grants:

WSPTA Essay Contest
This statewide essay contest explores the important and varied influencers in the lives and education of children, from the children’s perspective. Every day children are exposed to a variety of people and each one has an opportunity to influence the path a child decides to take. Whether it is someone that sparks an interest in a new topic, helps them work through a problem, shapes the kind of person they want to become by modeling behavior, simply listens to them, or any number of other actions, this is the platform for students to share their appreciation. The application deadline is March 1 each year. For more information, go to www.wastatepta.org/events-programs/pta-essay-contest.
